Introduction to ADCP Data

This session will introduce a user to what can be seen in an ADCP data set. We will discuss the types of data that are recorded by the ADCP and review sample data sets. This will be a refresher session that will be useful for both new and experienced users.

As a follow up to this session, we will be creating a series of short tutorials throughout the summer of 2021 for on demand viewing. These recorded sessions will allow users to understand how to use Teledyne RDI’s software to open a file, review data, QA the data, utilize the software to zoom-in/out, and capture data and features for reports. We will also share how and why RDI’s customers are utilizing their ADCPs to tackle a variety of applications (i.e. offshore oil, in a river, in coastal settings, in open ocean, and from a vehicle). Where possible reference materials will be created and made available for download after viewing the presentation. We look forward to delving into the world of ADCPs with you!
